The Saints In Light Title

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” - Col 1:12-17

State of the Nation with Ken Ham

HamStateOfNation Here is a video you need to watch.  Ken Ham brings people up-to-date about what is going on in our nation in our Christian Faith.  It is amazing the extremes those that do not believe in our God and those that say they do but clearly have no knowledge of Him, are attacking our faith directly.  Often in your local college!

The video is about an hour long, but with the time!

Atheism, really?

It is hard for me to imagine anyone believes in atheism to the point of "there is no God nor Gods".  This has to be a red flag that someone is in nothing more than a state of denial as there is no way to prove there is "not" a higher power.  It must be that people, who classify themselves under this belief, cannot face that some power "might" exist that they "may" have to answer to in some way.

In my youth (teens and early twenties) I use to be agnostic and simply did not know if a God(s) existed or how anything really came about.  In my school years, they clearly showed how similar we were to apes and concluded that we evolved from them millions of years ago.  It seemed the "stories" I was taught out of the Bible were probably just fantasy and believed by those that never read all these great science books of that time.  After all, it is written in a book by people who had all that higher learning so they must know what they are talking about.

At one time, I actually said that the Bible had a lot of good knowledge but that was about it.  Of course, this came from a person who had not read but a small fragment of the Bible.  I did not realize at that point that you cannot accept the Bible as merely a good book of knowledge, either you believe it and that God it clearly shows or it is all just rubbish written by people who are liars and out to deceive.  After all, it claims:

  • there is only one God
  • who has always existed and will always exist
  • who has all power and knowledge
  • who created and controls all things
  • who is without change
  • mankind is in a fallen state and needs to be redeemed
  • there is a life after the current life where everyone will be judged

That is just for starters!  Why would anyone want to accept any part of the book if the God it describes does not exist?

Okay, back to the main point!  Is it truly possible not to believe in any chance of some kind of higher power that is eternal?  How would you prove it?  Has someone visited every place in the entire universe and find out there is no God(s) there?  Oh, wait, that would require someone being in every place throughout the entire universe at one time to make sure there was no God(s).  It is impossible to prove there is not a God(s) somewhere and thus is why atheism that goes as far as to deny any possibility of the existence of some kind of deity is just as impossible, which means anyone that believes this way clearly is in denial.  That is not to say there is a God(s), it just means everyone logically must admit there is a chance of the existance of a God(s) and thus actually be an agnostic.

I have no problem with people that are agnostic and allows for a possibility of a God(s), but to completely deny any possibility is simply foolish.  Even the Bible in Palms 53:1 says "the fool hath said in his heart, there is no God".

If a person is not open to at least the thought of the possibility of a higher power, then maybe it is just not there time yet.  Hopefuly, they will find out before they meet that higher power!

Evolution Sunday..

The time has come!  Tomorrow many churches will clearly be known as Christian or Cult!  It is a sad day!

Evolution Sunday as it has come to be known, will have a number of churches in every State of the USA, to celebrate Darwin and the "Theory" of evolution.  Yep, that is correct, there are a number of churches that claim to be Christian, which will show their obvious support for the "Theory" of evolution to the denying what the Bible says thus clearly stating the fact that the are NOT a Christian church and would have to be placed in the same lines as the other cults such as the Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses.  They may claim they are Christian but deny the God they claim to follow.

Let me make it perfectly clear, you cannot be an evolutionist (believe one species evolves into another species) and believe the Bible.  You cannot believe in the God of the Bible and only accept parts of it!  It is that simple, it does not require a great debate to show the Bible is in absolute opposition to evolution.  If you accept evolution, you cannot accept the Bible!

Some might think that sounds harsh, but it is back to the foundational truths of the Christian faith (those that believe in and follow Yeshua).

I even have problems with the so called "Gap" theory that concludes there is a gap of billions of years somewhere in the story of creation.  Some believe it is between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, thus giving us death prior to the fall of mankind and others place the gap between the six and seventh day of creation.

Clearly, you cannot believe in a preadamic world here on earth (some believe that Lucifer ruled a preadamic world prior to the creation of man).  In  Revelation 21:1 is says "And I saw a new heaven and new earth: for the FIRST heaven and FIRST earth were passed away; and there was no more sea", it clearly says "First" earth, not "Second" or "Third"!  There are more reasons than that, but this seems to be enough.

There are others that think the different days of creation were vast spans of time such as millions of years.  Think about that for a minute, how would anything God created in the first three days survive for millions of years before the sun, moon and stars were made on the forth day?  This is another point I like to bring up for those that believe the early gap theory to blend creation to man's dating methods.  While they can try to account for other things being older in a preadamic world, they are still stuck with science saying the moon, sun and stars are of an old age and it is clearly noted that they were made on the forth day which would put them around 6,000 years old.  So much for blending the two with the "gap theory".

If the Bible does not say there was a "Prior" world or a "Gap" in time, why should we create one?  Simply to satisfy man's fallible dating methods of today.  Remember, we are all human and are able to make mistakes, it is silly to count on what we know at this point in time above what is obvious.  Great minds of the past said the world was flat.  They also said the sun revolves around the earth.  Oh yeah, in recent years great minds said there would be so much dust on the moon that if you stood on it you would sink. Until just the last couple of years, great minds said you cannot change the speed of light.  All of these great theories have had thier day and now proven to be in error.  Who do you want to believe, God or man?

Anyway, it is time we get back to what we say we believe and push forward!  Mark those churches having Evolution Sunday celebrations and stay clear of them, they clearly do not believe the Bible!

Can a true Christain be an evolutionist?

Simple answer, right up front, absolutely not!  Either you believe God created the heavens and the earth and all that is created there in along with mankind (as a full being from the beginning) or you are an unbeliever!  The Bible is clear on the steps of creation and there is no room for evolution.  If you believe in evolution, then clearly you deny what God describes in the Bible.

How does not believing in creation as described in the Bible not qualify you as a Christian?  If you do not accept the principles in the Bible how can you truly believe in the God the Bible describes?  If creation is up on the “belief” auction block, what other things would not accept because they do not fit your ideas?

If you are a Christian, you must accept what the Bible clearly teaches, not only in evolution, but in everything, either you believe or you do not, those that pick and choose what to believe clearly do not have any belief!  It is not up to you to form your own belief, it is up to you to believe on what God has already said or not.

This is quite like different religions that like to claim Yeshua (Jesus) was a good man or a good prophet, but then deny He is the Son of God or simply, is God.  Yeshua claimed this title Himself, so to those that do not accept His deity, they must consider Him a liar and deceiver, clearly not a good man!

It is time to wake up to what you do believe and move on, we have languished far too long on doctrinal battles trying to live as close to  worldly lifestyles or pleasing people with itching ears, instead of going deeper in the things of God!  Wake up!  Clean up!  Let’s get moving on with God!  Programs will not save the world, but a deeper walk with God can!

What are the basics believes required to be a Christian?

At times I wonder why people even call themselves Christian as it appears they do not believe in common doctrines of the Bible.  A good example of this was an article in our local newspaper today about the man who has been the pastor of a local Presbyterian church for the last 14 years.

In the article, he admits that he does not believe in a heaven or hell, calls Angels and the Devil imaginary beings and on another occasion, that the Blood of Jesus does not hold any power of justification and should be stricken from all preaching and songs.   There was more, but this seems to be enough for me.

How can you call yourself a Christian let alone a Pastor when you do not believe in Heaven, Angels or the Devil (Satan) and what is your salvation based on if not cleansed through the shed Blood of Christ of which Jesus Himself said:

Mat 26:28  For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

And another passage:

Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

These Scriptures along with many others show the power of the Blood of Jesus. How is it that a person such as this so called pastor, denies the Blood of Jesus?   There can be no salvation without the Blood of Jesus.

Add to this all the battles in different denominations over the acceptance of people committing acts of homosexuality without repentance.   It amazes me that anyone could read the Bible and believe that committing the act of homosexuality is acceptable to God!  Some seem to believe that God created people to commit homosexuality.  That would be like saying God created people to be thieves or adulators or even murderers.  It would also mean that God has created a person to send them to eternal damnation, it is us ourselves that send us to hell, not God!

Recently, a large number of pastors had a day to honor Darwin for his work on evolution.  As far as I can see, anyone that believes in macroevolution (not microevolution such as variance within species) cannot be a Christian.  Why?  Simply if you accept that man evolved and was not directly created, you could have no concept of Original Sin and thus cannot understand the basis of salvation.

I once heard a pastor of a very large international church declare that you do not have to believe in the virgin birth to be a Christian.  If there was no "virgin birth", then Jesus would have had inherited the Original Sin of Adam and thus could not have been a sinless sacrifice for sin.  So, you would have to believe in the virgin birth to be a Christian.

Some people quote:

Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

They say it clearly shows you only need to confess and believe and you shall be saved.  Yes, this is the basics, but in this is hidden many other things.  For an example, to confess Jesus as Lord, you must let Him rule your life, there is that old saying "You cannot say – no Lord – If you say No, He is not Lord of your life".  Of course, you would have to believe in God and Jesus along with Original sin as you have to have something to be "saved" from.  Also, is the "virgin birth", the deity of Christ, and the list goes on and on.

I plan to launch OurLocalChristians.com in the future, but one of the task I have before the launch is to come up with a list of basic common beliefs to be a true Christian.  Before that day comes I will be posting more here.

God Forgive The Ignorance Of Many!

Lately, it seems that whenever I look at the news there is yet another folly of fools professing themselves to be wise.   Today was no different!

The Chicago Tribune ran an article called "Churches to mark Darwin's birthday".  The article claims that nearly 450 Christian churches around the country plan to celebrate the birthday of Charles Darwin on Sunday with sermons emphasizing his theory of evolution is COMPATIBLE with the Christian faith.

In addition, it details what is called the "Clerics affirmation" which since its inception in 2004, has drawn signatures of more than 10,000 Christian clerics in a letter to schools stating "We urge school board members to preserve the integrity of the science curriculum by affirming the teaching of the theory of evolution as a core component of human knowledge. We ask that science remain science and that religion remain religion, two very different, but complementary, forms of truth."

One so-called minister is quoted as saying "I find deep spirituality in the truths of evolution."  What complete nonsense!

It amazes me how fast this country is falling into the depths of delusions all in the name of science.  While I love science, it cannot supersede the Word of God!  Anyone who believes this fantasy, can not truly be a Christian!  That statement may sound harsh, but the reality is quite simple, if you do not believe that God directly created man as a whole being, then you have placed mankind as no better than the animals, and thus not spirit nor soul.  Mankind cannot grow a soul and spirit through evolution, this is something God breathed upon creation of mankind and anything less is heresy!

Anyone that allows the Bible texts to be modified or superseded by any outside source has crossed the line and fallen away from the faith.  Once you start to omit or modify parts of the Bible to fit with other beliefs (and that is all they are), then you unravel the integrity of the Scriptures and no longer have any grounds for your faith.  God's Word is not subject to pick-and-choose beliefs, it must be taken in its entirety or not at all!

There are many Scriptures in the Bible that directly go against mankind's sciences.  To fit the Bible to science, many Scriptures will have to be left out, along with the meaning!

This and many other things I have seen lately, consistently shows that there is ONLY one answer for this nation (and the world) and that is an awakening in the people to realize just who God is and the reality of His Kingdom!  There is no other answer, people have checked their reason at the door and no longer hold to sound doctrine.  It is time for the fire from on high to burn within us all once again!  Hunger for God and hunger for an awakening among the people is the only answer, nothing else will work any longer!

It is time to turn from our wicked ways and seek God's face while He may be found.  Time is running short!  Awaken oh people of God, take up our battle gear and prepare for spiritual war!

Evolution vs. Creationism in the schools

Recently, in our local newspaper's "letter to the editor" section, the battle of Evolution vs. Creation has been a popular topic which has caused name-calling and going as far as comparing some people with Hitler.  It is a heated issue for many reasons to be sure, but I think the battle is more about the existence of God rather than creation.  However, there are issues directly related to Evolution and being a Christian.

Can a Christian actually believe in evolution?  That is, does not evolution break the foundation of Christian beliefs?

First, if we are to believe in evolution, this would mean that humans developed from animals and contradicts the Genesis account of God directly creating mankind.  Some may say that God may have just taken His time and created man slowly developing (evolving) him over a long period of time.  If you actually believe this, then there is yet another problem to continue believing the biblical account as you would have to solve how woman was not found until God made Adam sleep and used one of his ribs to create her while Adam slept.

Even if you throw out the creation account, you have another problem.  Animal do not have souls as far as we know (would seem hard to believe among other things that God would have them slaughtered for sacrifice if they had an eternal soul).  At what point did man "receive" a soul (or spirit)?  If you believe evolution, mankind came from primates (at least at the last step of the ladder) thus primates would either have an eternal soul or somehow we developed one.

People can justify about anything if they really want something bad enough.  This appears to be a large problem nowadays as many are desperately trying to combine the man made sciences with the biblical beliefs.  The two will NEVER completely fit.  If you take out the creation account, you still have many things in the biblical history that science says is emphatically impossible:

  • How can a man live in the belly of a large fish (story of Jonah)?
  • How can there have been a worldwide flood that covered past the highest mountaintop if there currently is not enough water on the planet to reach that far?
  • How could the sun remain in the sky for 24 hours (Joshua's battle)
  • How could the Jordan River (full at the time) dry up as the priest's feet touched it allowing them to cross over on "dry" ground?
  • How about the simple story of the Axe Head made of iron that "floated" on the water (one of the stories of Elisha)?
  • How about the mighty works God performed delivering Israel out of Egypt?

The Bible is scattered with these events that are impossible as far as science is concerned.  If we try to make the Bible and our beliefs fit man made science for the sake of science, then we will be removing a good amount of scriptures from the Bible.  If those are removed, then just where do we stop?  If the simple account of creation can be stretched to the point of even "allowing" the possibility of evolution, then there is no "belief".  You might as well just throw your Bible away if you can believe such "theories" based on the knowledge of man along with all their proven frauds (yes there a many frauds in the supposed evidence of evolution).

We do not need to bend our Christian beliefs to try fitting them to manmade sciences.  Why should you even bother?  Evolution, which is key to those that do not want to accept the idea of a creator, still forces those who believe in it to take everything on faith with large gapping holes.

Just ask an evolutionist where did it all come from and many will push the "Big Bang" theory, which believes that a small piece of hot matter expanded into everything in the universe.  That sounds hard to believe when you consider the size of the universe, but the bigger question is, where did that matter come from?  Where is it all going to end?  What is on the outside of all space?

We all know that no one knows these answers and space is so large, it is hard for us to comprehend all on its own.  The point though is that evolutionists still will end up with an "I do not know" regardless of the path they take.  What is harder to believe, something that you do not and cannot know in your entire lifetime or that there is a God and He is willing to prove Himself to anyone providing they give Him a chance?  Simple existence testifies that God is here (I will post much more on that topic in the near future).

The entire issue about evolution and creation being taught in the schools together should not be based on the position that theory of evolution is based on science and that creation is based on religion, they are both based on something you "must" believe in and know that we will never have all the answers in our lifetime.  As such, creationism should be taught in schools just as much as evolution, if you do not allow creationism, then neither should the religion of evolution be allowed.
